When cds creative, inc. was selected to plan the May 2006 dedication gala for the new Joseph McDade Terminal at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport in February, we were all ready to hit our panic buttons. Airport officials expressed to us what they envisioned for the dedication and it was our job to guarantee that vision came to life – in three months.
We covered every aspect, from catering to clean up, from registration tables to coat room hangers, and all forms of entertainment and decoration. With over 1,500 guests attending the event, even keeping track of RSVPs was a major undertaking.
The day arrived and the terminal looked exquisite. The baggage carousels were transformed into large buffets where guests sampled finger foods from five different cities serviced by the airport. The VIP party was catered. The terminal upper level was rearranged for the main entertainment and for guests to dance the night away. The laser light show was ready and the speakers prepared.
At the end of the night, all of our hard work and determination paid off. The event was a major success earning our client major kudos.
